THE SKETCHES
Drawings for a building
Between autumn 2025 and spring 2026, five twenty-minute chapters were published as working drafts for History on a Story Arc — a filmed working journal, made in the months before production of the film itself began.
They are sketches, not the finished work. Each chapter tries out a piece of the argument, a way of narrating, an image or a structure — and some of it was later carried into the film, some of it left behind. If the film is the building, these are the drawings it was built from.
